This page shows a small sample of the offering and capabilities offered by Graphic Visions. All photography (Excluding the old car, which started as a scan of someone else's photo) was taken digitally. The images demonstrate the range of digital manipulation, from simple edging to complex re-rendering. For information on obtaining a print please contact us directly. Due to the wide variations in size and media each quote requires individual attention.

butteryflytmb.jpg - 4356 Bytes Butterfly: This photo of A Yellowtail Swallow butterfly was taken on Memorial Day 2001. The detail and color are outstanding when printed. When printed at 36" width it makes for a very eye catching decoration. This image is available for reprint.
sunsettmb.jpg - 3342 Bytes Into the sunset: Sometimes it pays to have a camera on hand. This photo was taken during the session where the miniature cactus shown below was shot. The grainage is noticeable, but seems to add, rather than detract, from the feeling of the sunset. This image is available for reprint.
bogeymantmb.jpg - 3232 Bytes Bogeyman This was a halloween costume worn by an employee for a competition. After the contest I nabbed the employee, mixed in some artificial folage in the entry and added some trick lighting. This is as shot. This image is available for reprint.
couchcattmb.jpg - 3052 Bytes Who are You? I was setting up for a location shot when the model's cat settled in on the couch for a minute. This image is available for reprint.
wcrosestmb.jpg - 4049 Bytes Watercolor Roses: This photo was totally re-rendered and edged to give the effect of being a water color painting. It's general light coloring tends to brighten any room it's hung in. This image is available for reprint.
oldcartmb.jpg - 3361 BytesOld Car: Rather than being re-rendered as a tintype I wanted the effect of very old film with bad emulsion and grainage with noticable light distortion. This is a fun image with most observers giving it a smile or a chuckle, why people respond that way I don't know, but I have the same reaction every time I look at it. This image is available for reprint.
rjattackymb.jpg - 4346 Bytes Rock Shark! This is an extremely manipulated shot of an old drillbit. A large print of this image is stunning, an incredible wall decoration for the office environment. Prints are limited to 250 signed and numbered copies, but you get to pick your size and media!
tifcattmb.jpg - 3496 Bytes Tiffany Cat This is a heavily altered image made to resemble an old photograph like you would find in an attic. This image is only available in 8x10, unfortunatly it loses the effect when printed larger.
lilcactustmb.jpg - 3234 BytesEagles Dream Miniature: Eagles Dream makes incredibly detailed miniature Southwestern artwork. They asked if I could get an image showing both the lilputin size and detail. You be the judge. (Sadly, Eagles Dream hes ceased production at this time. Maybe in the future?)
Red Crosstmb.jpg - 3462 BytesRed Crystal Cross: This is a necklace produced by Jewelry by Mali. The image belies how difficult it was to shoot but gives an idea of how something so simple can be so beautiful. Not available for reprint.

The Mardi Gras Casino Project

These photos were taken digitally on December 30, 2000. Each image was given distinctly different manipulation, yet maintains a common theme. Originally undertaken on speculation they exemplify the variations of "digital art". Each image is poster size, taken individually they are very nice wall decorations, as a group they form an outstanding room decor. These images are available for reprint in a variety of sizes and on several types of media.

MGC COLOR

MGCcolortmb.jpg - 4288 Bytes

This was the most challenging of the images to create. Everything in the image, except the building, was dropped to black and white with a slight blur. When printed the most common comment is that it looks like a model building like one would find in a model train enthusiast set-up.

MGC DREAM

MGCdreamtmb.jpg - 3622 Bytes

This image was one of those fortunate accidents that do happen. I was using heavy filtering trying to give it a shadowy depth. Instead I wound up with a rather surrealistic color mishmash with striations (caused by aliasing in the filter), but I liked it so much I left it alone. This image has been repeatedly taken for an architects rendering.

MGC PAINTED

MGCpaintedtmb.jpg - 3877 Bytes

This was the first of the set created. I was trying to make the photo resemble an oil painting. It must have worked, when printed on canvas many people refuse to believe this was once a photo, assuming it is a painting!

MGC TINTYPE

MGCtintypetmb.jpg - 3649 Bytes

This image was the most fun to produce, and is the favorite with a majority of the people. When printed on a satin media and framed under glass people really study it trying to decide if it is indeed an old tintype.
