The Acting Studio offers ongoing weekly workshops in acting for the camera and the stage ( Tuesday evenings -- $180 per month.)  Private coaching is available in voice & speech, dialects and voiceover (by appointment -- $220 per 4 one-hour sessions). 

This year,  The Acting Studio celebrates it's 30th anniversary...  training actors, performers and storytellers.  Congratulations to our talent for their work in the "biz":   

Laura Booze features as Grandma in Edward Albee's THE AMERICAN DREAM, directed by Rick Bernstein at the Miners Alley Playhouse.  In the same production is Nita Froelich, playing Mommy.  Joe Wilson stars as Peter in Albee's ZOO STORY in the same venue.  (Joe also featured in Ivan Turgenev's FORTUNE'S FOOL, directed by Chris Tab for Everyman Theatre Company).  Rich Young plays Marcus in The Industrial Arts' production of TITUS ANDRONICUS.

Joni Pierce stars in ORTHOGENESIS, a non-union feature film shot last November in Denver. Director is Bob Berg, one of the creators of CITY'S EDGE, the ongoing on-line soap opera which includes Anna Hadzi as actor/director and has featured several TAS actors.  Anna Hadzi directed and produced a film short, EXIT INTERVIEW (written by TAS's colleague and master teacher, Andy Garrison).  Competing against 21 entries, the film ranked Number One for the Colorado Film School's contest at the Starz Film Center, winning Anna a scholarship for UCD's BFA Film program..

Rich Young featured in a new work, THE PATRIOT ACT: A Modern Burlesque du Politique, by Adam Chanzit, directed by Sasha Zeilig for the Lida Project.  Richard Young co-starred as Duncan in the Shakespeare's MACBETH produced by the Shadowbox Theatre, directed by Buddy Butler.  Also, Chaz Grundy played Caithness and Murderer #3 and  Adrienne Martin Fullwood played Lady Macduff.   Anna Hadzi served as voice/dialect coach.

Dennis Sanchez featured in the female version of Neil Simon's THE ODD COUPLE, produced by Vintage Theatre.  Dennis co-starred in a production of GROSS INDECENCY by Moises Kaufman, directed by Nicholas Sugar at Theatre on Broadway.   Dennis  played the Joker opposite Batman in Elitch Garden's production of CARNIVAL OF CHAOS.  He starred in an indie feature, THE MONUMENT, directed by Kriss Hipps for Paper Cat Productions.   

Samantha Norton starred in BROKEN HEARTS, a one-act directed by Mary Ann Kehler at Metro-State. Rob Tromp played Dr. Einstein in ARSENIC AND OLD LACE for The Acting Company at the Rialto Theatre in Loveland, CO.  He also played Homer in Paul Osborne's MORNING'S AT SEVEN.  Rob features in THE VALIANT at Colorado State.  Rob Tromp also co-starred in a new comedy at the Christian Arts Center. Camilla Susser featured in a commercial for ATLA, "The Jury" produced by Network Affiliates. Justin Frumkes played Jeff in the indie film, ‘Through the Eyes of Life", produced by Image Works Productions in affiliation with the American Cancer Society.  Laura Booze co-starred.

Eric Field played Orpheus in AH, EURYDICE!  By Stanley Taikeff at The Germinal Stage.  Eric did a one man show, KAFKA LIVES!   Co-starring in Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN at The Germinal was Cody Alexander. Lori Hansen featured in Ed Baierlein's production of ANIMAL FARM at the Germinal Stage. Nita Froelich featured in John Patrick Stanley's "ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION",  at the Miners Alley Playhouse.  Joe Wilson featured in THE ELEPHANT MAN by Bernard Pomerance at  the Miners Alley Playhouse.  Josh Hartwell featured in Buddy Thomas's THE CRUMPLE ZONE, directed by Steven Tangedal at Theatre on Broadway.  Josh featured in MANSON: ON STAGE an original collaboration by LIDA Project.

Catherine Sheehan did a series of five voice overs for J. D. Edwards.  She also voiced a training video for J. D. EDWARDS through CYNYC Entertainment.  Catherine featured in a video promotional for Bank One produced by the Colorado Arts Institute.

Joe Wilson, Steve Pease, Anna Hadzi and Theresa Fenneaux  featured in episodes of BUSTED, a series project for Animal Planet.  Theresa Fenneaux starred in a training video on customer service training for AT&T.

Bill Ranson appeared as a paramedic in a scene  in TERMINATOR THREE (yes, the one with Arnold).  He featured in an episode of CBS's STILL STANDING, and did two film shorts -- PROOF and A SOCIAL EVENT. Bill wrote, directed and appeared co-starred in a SAG Experimental Film called BINGO ANONYMOUS, starring Danny Goldman and Laurie Henmeyer (of "Gimmee a Break.").

Theresa Fenneaux starred in "Journey to the Day" directed by Steve Saldana produced at Cleo Parker Robinson's Studio.  Matt  Colussi featured in CHICAGO, directed by Michael Gorman at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Anthony Fernandez and Trevor Fodrhonc co-starred as Max and Tito in LEND ME A TENOR by Ken Ludwig, directed by Jillian Lietzau for Sunshine Music Productions at The Oriental Theatre.

Chaz Grundy did a commercial for Guarantee Bank and also featured as an inner city teacher in MURPHY's LAW", an HBO pilot.  Laura Laird played the Pregnant Woman in a film short, WYATT, directed by TAS alum, Trever Fodrhonc.

Anthony Fernandez starred in WEED, a Sunshine Production project at the Rural Development Conference in Greeley. Anthony also was in the ensemble of THE HISTORY OF AMERICA - ABRIDGED produced by Sunshine Productions at The Oriental.  Anthony also appeared in a production of LYSISTRATA at the Lida Theatre Project.   David Harms did a staged reading of Ellen Graham's GENIUS OF LOVE, directed by Bill Selig (a TAS alum) at the Lida Project.

John Beasley studied with me, not at The Acting Studio, but when I taught at University of Nebraska.  Catch him as Mr. Irv in the WB-TV series, EVERWOOD (starring Treat Williams).  Anthony Parker featured in an episode of "Busted", a syndicated series produced by Animal Planet.  He also will feature as Kayita in the upcoming Western, ALAMO, shot in New Mexico. 

David Harms starred in Lee Blessing's TWO ROOMS, directed by Michael Duran for the Everyman Theatre Company.  David played Wolf in BENT, directed by Jeremy Cole for Hunger Artists at the Lida Project.  Anna Hadzi reprised her role in Jeffrey Hatcher's THREE VIEWINGS, this time directed by TAS friend, Andy Garrison of Kansas City's The Actor Training Studio.

Laura Booze played several roles in Aurora Fox's production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL directed by Liz Jury.  Laura also co-starred as Mrs. Wire in Tennessee William's VIEUX CARRE, directed by Warren Sherril for the Paragon Theatre at the Acoma Center.  Co-starring as Nursie was TAS alum, Adrienne Martin-Fullwood. 

Betsy Grisard featured as Aunt Aggie in A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME, written by Jeanee Nott Ellis and directed by Jane Borg-Chilson, performed at the Colorado Performing Arts Festival.  Betsy also co-starred as Ethel in Ken Ludwig's MOON OVER BUFFALO at the Castle Rock Theatre.   Betsy Grisard, Laura Booze and Bill Rowley co-starred in a series of original one acts produced by Dangerous Theatre Productions at the Buntporte Theatre:

Toby Meuli completes his BFA at Baylor University this spring.  This year, Toby  played Romeo in ROMEO AND JULIET, Prince Hal in HENRY IV, and Bill, the doctor, in Alan Ayckbourn's WOMAN IN MIND.  He also stars in an indie, NO SOLICITING (A View Apart Productions) which is making the film festival rounds this year.
